TO CLIP, OR NOT TO CLIP?
One of the big questions that people ask is: Are the coupons you clip today, REALLY saving you money? My answer to this question is definitely YES! Coupons are a great way to save money and it really doesn't take that much time to do. Many people already get a Sunday paper and end up throwing the coupons away. I am a big advocate for clipping coupons, I would have to say that I end up saving at least $200 a month by clipping coupons, printing them from the Internet and shopping according to the advertised specials such as buy one get one free deals!
I just read a really cute article that talks about how one woman measures her life by dog years and thought you too, might enjoy reading it. This article can be found on a website called 'Golden Buddies.com'. This webiste is really cute and has a lot of great articles about the lifestyle of dogs. As far back as I can really remember, my family always had a dog and a cat. Now that I have a large family of my own, I have decided that a cat is all that I want, at least for now.
Well, today was the last day to use the FREE drink coupons that Taco Bell put out in the newspaper a little over a month ago. We ended up with several of these sheets of coupons and used some more today. The coupons were for FREE margarita frozen slush drinks or limeade drinks. I am crazy over the cherry limeade drinks, they are absolutely delicious and the funny thing is that I am the only one in our family who likes them. The rest of our family likes the frozen strawberry margarita and mango strawberry margarita drinks which I like too, just not as much. I asked the cashier the other day how they are made and he told me that all they use to make them are sierra mist with a shot of cherry syrup or juice. Now that I know how they are made, I have been searching for cherry juice but the only thing I have been able to find is cherry flavored grenadine that is used for making shirley temples. I finally found it today and fogot to buy the Sierra Mist.
My husband and oldest son have been addicted to watching the FIFA World Cup Soccer tournament that has been going on for the past couple of weeks. Today was the final match and they were rooting for the Netherland team to win because we have twin brothers that go to our church that are actually from there. I was not interested in this sport at all and I really could have card less as to who won but now that it is over I am just happy that a new country won this year. This is the first year that a team who hasn't won before took the title. Don't quote me on this but if I remember what Frank told me there have only been six teams to ever win the FIFA World Cup.
Don't get me wrong because I really enjoy watching most sports, soccer just isn't one of them. I will watch football all day long. I absolutely cannot wait for this upcoming NFL season. I am curious to see how well our Steelers are going to do with all the legal things going on with our quarterback.
As many of you already know, we spend a lot of time at our local bowling alley. With that being said, I was there a few weeks ago when an older couple was bowling and a lady went past the approach line and fell. I thought for sure she broke her hip the way she fell but thankfully she was alright.
Our six year old, Christian has been getting two allergy shots a week since March of 2008. About six months ago, I decided that my allergies were out of control and perhaps I too would benefit from getting allergy shots. I was right an have been getting three allergy shots every week along with Christian getting his. I cannot believe how much the allergy shots have helped me over the past couple of months, I feel like a totally different person. When I miss a week, I can feel the symptoms that I had before ever starting this process. |
